Pettus Appointed To NARIP Houston Board

NARIP is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Pettus, Esq to the Board of its Houston chapter. 

They join NARIP Houston Board Members Executive Director Dubbs Beck, Heidi Massin, Anita Long, PJ Douglas Sands and Ami Blackwell.

About Christina Pettus, Esq.

Attorney Christina Pettus is a native of Kansas City, MO, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee State University, in Nashville, TN and her Juris Doctor Degree, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, MI in 2009. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2010 and has been with the Law Office of Anderson & Smith, P.C., since 2011. Attorney Pettus provides a wide range of legal services but primarily focuses on Entertainment Law and Family Law matters. Attorney Pettus provides varying services to the entertainment industry, including film, music, television, theater, publishing, visual arts, and multimedia. Some of her skills include Intellectual Property (trademarks and copyrights), negotiating and drafting contracts, to modify terms and conditions that are within the clients’ needs and best interests. She is experience with recording contracts, literary option agreements, distribution deals, investment agreements, management contracts, and producer agreements. Attorney Pettus also represents independent
artist/musicians by booking live performances, arranging tour dates, and assisting in marketing and promotions. She provides services for entertainer’s Non-Profit Organizations and Foundations. Attorney Pettus is also an Adjunct Professor at Houston Community College where she teaches The Survey of the Music Business. Attorney Pettus is a member of the National Bar Association, Entertainment & Sports Section, Houston Bar Association, Entertainment and Family Law Sections, Council Member of the Houston Bar Association Entertainment & Sports Law Section, Member of the Houston Area Urban League’s Young Professionals, and a Board Member for the National Association of Record Industry Professionals.
