at Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ
the Mesa Community College Music Business Program
Get a music marketing plan started in one session. Boost the effectiveness of the plan you already have. A great marketing plan doesn't have to be complicated. A good one can be just one page long. Spreadsheets, graphs and numbers are not necessary.
But you NEED a plan. Lack of a good plan destroys more careers than lack of talent. Good marketing is simply getting your work to the largest number of people at the lowest possible cost.
Three music marketing experts give you the facts you need to take your artist to the top in this special NARIP session.
Pre-register for NARIP's event and submit your artist’s marketing plan. Our experts will select one plan and provide an in-depth review of it at our program.
One NARIP member will be selected from our session to win one (1) free hour consultation with one of our guest speakers.

His experience includes retail music sales, strategic advertising, point-of-purchase, marketing campaigns, Internet promotions and national product placement campaigns, as well as helping connect bands with appropriate labels and vice versa. Jon has helped labels structure a staff and build them from the ground up. While at Mercury Records Jon worked with such artists as Hanson and Kiss to name a few before heading to Restless Records where he helped develop and market artists such as Warren G. and Spain. He then served as West Coast Director of Sales and Marketing Manager for BMG (later UNI) distributed Beyond Records where he promoted artists such as Blondie, The Go-Go's, Veruca Salt, Lucy Pearl and Motley Crue. Jon was also the National Sales Director for the Sony-distributed Gold Circle Records, promoting product for such artists as Meredith Brooks, Roland Orzabal, Pat Benatar, Jeff Lorber and John Waite. Jon currently owns Bender Music Group, a premier online marketing company that works with labels such as Rhino, Warner Nashville and KOCH among others. Bender Music Group can supplement a record label marketing staff or become their staff. Bender also manages bands and consults labels and artists on all music business related matters.
Jason Coochwytewa is President of Red Note, Inc. With a diverse background in the advertising and marketing industry of 14+ years, Jason Coochwytewa began his work in entertainment in 2000 as an executive at a large-scale Native American casino in New Mexico. It was here that Jason was introduced to the "business-side" of the music industry: booking, marketing, and creating casino promotions around major national headlining acts. However, his appreciation for music in the art form was discovered as a young boy. Deeply rooted in his Native American culture, his father sang and taught him traditional Hopi songs, emphasizing the importance of listening to the words, rhythm and beat. Time spent with his father laid the foundation to what would eventually become Jason's passion in life: music. In 2005, Jason launched Red Note, Inc. based in Phoenix, Arizona, and now works full-time planning and managing intimate to large-scale event productions and promotions including festivals and headlining music concerts. Jason has been involved with over 100 shows, working with legendary to "fresh on the scene" musicians and bands. In 2008, Red Note, Inc. produced two major events during Super Bowl XLII; the Arizona Indian Festival with estimated audience of 20,000 and the Native American component of the NFL's Super Bowl XLII VIP Tailgate Party for 10,000 individuals. Jason serves as a juror on the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards and is an advisory board member for the launch of the World Indigenous Music Awards set to take place in 2010 in Canada. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and is an alumnus of Valley Leadership - Class 26. He currently serves as the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP) Phoenix Chapter Director, is a Board of Trustee with the Arizona Science Center and a board member with both the Girl Scouts of America Arizona Pine Council and the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Arizona. Jason once again serves as co-chair of the Arizona Diamondbacks Native American Day on July 12, 2009 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
