A WALKING JOB FAIR

Tess Taylor is president of the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (www.NARIP.com, est. 1998) and creator of NARIP’s Music Supervisor Sessions, which feature music supervisors from the film, TV, games and ad agency sectors and have yielded multiple music placements (in the #1 box office film Chronicle, True Blood, Dexter, The B—- in Apt. #23, ABC / Disney Family Television network, Bad Girls Club). NARIP’s sessions have sold out in Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin and Paris, and packed a San Francisco venue. Ms. Taylor is also President of the Los Angeles Music Network (www.LAMN.com, est. 1988) which promotes education and industry access among artists. One of the nation’s leading authorities on careers in the music and record industries, Ms. Taylor has connected countless people to jobs and opportunities through her work in the US and abroad, cultivated collaborations for over two decades, helped launch hundreds of projects and several companies. Dubbed “the International Music Ambassador” by P.J. Bloom (music supervisor of the Glee franchise, CSI: Miami). Ms. Taylor has also been instrumental in launching the Mowglis, a Southern California band that is setting the world on fire and currently on a 30+ city tour of the US. Selected to perform at the 2011 LAMN Jam Music Contest by Ms. Taylor and her staff, the Mowglis went on to win not only the grand prize (a $30K artist development package), but the hearts and souls of the talent judges… as well as a management contract. One of the talent judges – Antony Bland (longtime A&R executive, most recently at Rick Rubin’s American Recordings), signed the band immediately. From there, they acquired a talent agent and were signed to a record deal with Universal / Photo Finish Records, have been featured on network television and are getting radio airplay on top stations across the nation.
