Position Title: Creative Synch Licensing (LA)

Full-service independent record label dedicated to long-term artist development, with a diverse roster across a variety of musical genres. We are seeking a candidate to pursue synch licensing across all formats to create exposure and marketing opportunities for our artists as well as drive revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Seek out and pitch the label roster’s music to film, TV, advertising, trailers, and gaming music supervisors
Research upcoming production schedules and meet with supervisors to find licensing opportunities
Collaborate with label staff to integrate synch opportunities into overall marketing plans
Communicate and strategize with artists and their managers about potential synch opportunities
Represent the label at concerts and events, and organize artist showcases at studios and agencies
Collaborate with label’s brand integration manager and house producers and editors to maximize label artists’ exposure in brand productions
Direct and coordinate global licensing strategies with third party agencies as well as our distribution and publishing administration partners around the world
Pitch for synch usage of songs written or co-written by writers signed to our publishing division and recorded by third parties
Create and manage licensing reports for the executive team to summarize results, and communicate with others in the company as well as artist representatives about upcoming campaigns
Initiate and manage the contract administration process including negotiations, invoicing, and collections
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date information regarding deals (terms, status, value) in licensing database

Skills:

Self-motivated with the ability to execute assigned responsibilities and proactively address oncoming issues and opportunities
Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative and work independently.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
Candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask and constructively solve problems while working under pressure.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of synch pitching & licensing experience with established relationships in the music supervisor community

Travel: May be required

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
