Bruce Kalmick, Partner, Ambiance Artists

Bruce Kalmick’s career achievements begin only 5 short months after graduating from Texas State University. He started his first business, KB Talent LLC with longtime friend Ricky Brown in April 2005. With no bands and little experience the two started splashing around in the shark-infested waters of the music business. After failed attempts at blues, rock, metal, and even some hip-hop, the duo signed their first soon-to-be star Brandon Rhyder. With only 7 months of booking experience and at the tender age of 23, they quickly established themselves as a premiere booking agency for Texas Country acts, developing artists such as The Casey Donahew Band, Adam Hood, The Bart Crow Band, Walt Wilkins, Darren Kozelsky, and of course Brandon Rhyder. After consulting and mentoring some of the most promising up-and-coming bands, Kalmick and Brown expanded their business to include an artist management company in 2007. Bruce has taken acts such as the Josh Abbott Band and Whiskey Myers from virtual unknowns to two of the fastest growing bands ever in the Texas Country scene. In addition, he has signed Texas Country mainstay acts such as Brandon Rhyder, The Kyle Bennett Band and future stars like Courtney Now and Ben Danaher to management deals. He has built lasting connections from Austin to Nashville and L.A. to Paris and beyond that have created opportunities for his bands on a national and international level. Beginning January 2010, Kalmick and Brown assume responsibility of all marketing for the nationally renowned Graham Brothers Entertainment, Inc. KB Talent will expand to promote shows and specialty nights for all venues under the GBE umbrella, including seventeen locations in Nashville, TN; Wichita, KS; Austin, TX, Odessa, TX; Oklahoma City, OK and many more. Bruce Kalmick’s sacrifices weekends to go on the road with his bands, living the day-to-day so he can see first-hand the needs of each market and help his bands improve their careers. He is articulate and fearless, tackling new business ventures with confidence, rallying his employees to perform at high standards he sets. His drive to succeed and passion for Texas music are Bruce’s best qualities in this business, and his exploration of different creative businesses sets him apart. He loves what he does.
