NARIP Launches Atlanta Chapter June 6

New Officers Announced

The National Association of Record Industry Professionals (www.narip.com) launches its Atlanta Chapter on June 6, and appoints Freddy Cameron, Jasmine Diaz and Jobi Tyson to Executive Director, Marketing Director and Communications Director respectively.

“With its vibrant music industry and hotbed of creativity, Atlanta is an obvious choice for a new NARIP chapter and we are delighted to establish one there,” says NARIP president Tess Taylor. Freddy Cameron, Jasmine Diaz and Jobi Tyson epitomize the modern music entrepreneur and are well-positioned to lead the charge. Cameron has signed four artists to major label deals and has been a conduit of getting great music to the next level over the past decade. Diaz has run her own music management company and knows what it takes to create and sustain a successful career in the music business. Jobi is both a marketing professional and an artist, bringing two important disciplines together. All three are talented, creative and well-connected go-getters which is essential for success in the modern music industry. With their experience, we will make a mark in Atlanta, and are thrilled to have them on board to grow NARIP in this important region.”

About Freddy Cameron

Hailing from Hayward, California and raised in the church, he started in the music business at age 16. While working with superstar rapper MC Hammer at World Hit Music Group in Oakland, Freddy recruited and signed local rap duo The Stooge Playas. Freddy then landed a position in A&R at Atlantic Records in Los Angeles where he worked with artists such as Trina and Trick Daddy. From there he went to Melisma / Arista Records to work alongside Grammy award-winning producer Matt Serletic. Moving to the A&R department at A&M / Interscope Records, he helped shape the careers of Vanessa Carlton, Joanna Pacitti and The Black Eyed Peas. He next took a position at The Firm Entertainment and was part of the management team behind Enrique Iglesias. He recently launched Undisputed-HiFi Recordings which focuses on complete talent development, allowing the artists’ vision to flourish without the pressure of corporate structure. Freddy is also an A&R consultant.

About Jasmine Diaz

With over ten years of entertainment industry experience, Jasmine Diaz has worked in various sectors of the music industry from artist management to accounting.
