They pitch music to buyers and their representatives, including to music supervisors. Synch agents are typically compensated on a commission basis and do not own or control the copyrights they represent. While synch agents usually focus on entertainment and media exploitations, traditional songplugger services also include placement of represented songs with recording artists.

Vince Quintero is a synch agent and music executive with 19+ years of major record label, music publishing and multi-media experience. His roles include music licensing, publishing, music supervision, A&R, strategic marketing/branding, and artist/producer management. Vince has worked with platinum-selling artists such as Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Papa Roach, The Roots, MIA, Snoop Dogg, Black Eyed Peas, Blink 182, Mary J Blige, Common, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. He has been responsible for conceptualizing, negotiating and executing against A-list music events with fortune 500 companies such as Jagermeister, Corazon Tequila, Coors Beer, and 42 Below Vodka. Vince has also worked as an A&R executive, a manager of a multi-platinum producer, and developed various bands throughout his career. He has overseen the music recording process with platinum artists, producers, managers, studios, and engineers as well as negotiated and built six-figure recording budgets. Vince has held positions such as Creative Director for HoriPro Music Publishing (KISS, Marilyn Manson, REO Speedwagon, Jerry Reed, George Strait, etc.), Head of Creative Music Licensing and Music Publishing for Red Bull Records and Senior Creative Director of Sync Licensing for Capitol Music Group (Capitol, Astralwerks, Virgin, Motown, Harvest, Priority, Blue Note and Caroline Records). Currently Vince runs his venture, VQ Creative, handling worldwide sync licensing and branding. A few clients include Notting Hill Music Publishing/Masters, Dualtone Records, Harvey Mason Media and HundredUp Records.
