Intimate Meetings & Pitch Sessions With Music Supervisors from Top Ad Agencies Session #5 with Grey Group’s Josh Rabinowitz on Thu, Oct 27, 2011 at Shelter Island Sound in New York
What do Jessica Dierauer, Jean Scofield, Paul Greco, Mike Boris, Josh Rabinowitz and Ryan Fitch have in common? They are all special guests at NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions at Shelter Island Sound in New York. Representing the best and brightest in music supervision at the top ad agencies in the world, these six seasoned executives select, commission and place (and in some cases, create) music for global advertising campaigns for the world’s most recognizable brands. In NARIP’s intimate sessions, you get to meet and pitch them for current opportunities. Come meet these career-makers. BACKGROUND NARIP members have made placements through these limited enrollment sessions, including most recently Peter Kimmel who placed a song from his catalog (“Soul of a Man Never Dies”) in an episode of True Blood and another song in a episode of Dexter (“Jhiara”) following our session with Gary Calamar earlier this year in Los Angeles. You can read more about it here. Placements secured and professional relationships formed through these meetings are so good that we felt this format would work well for those who represent catalogs and/or seek intimate pitch opportunities with the best (and busiest) ad agency music supervisors in town. Limited to 15 people, NARIP’s sessions enable you to get to know the supervisors and more importantly, enable them to get to know you. At private sessions in Los Angeles, participants were able to pitch for current opportunities on the spot, receiving instant feedback as to whether a song was appropriate or not, and WHY. This valuable feedback makes better pitches – and ultimately, placements – possible. In some cases, participants even had time to re-work their music to better fit a supervisors’ needs. Above all, attendees MET key players in the modern music business, paving the way for future opportunities and giving them an edge in a highly competitive market. At each session in New York, participants will have the opportunity to pitch music for specific opportunities and get immediate, direct feedback from one ad agency music supervisor. What attendees say about NARIP’s Music Supervisor Sessions held earlier this year in Los Angeles:

ABOUT THE RADIO EXECUTIVES ![]() Julie Pilat, Assistant Program Director / Music Director at KIIS FM and Program Director at KYSR 98-7fm Session #1 on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 A young Julie Pilat, obsessed with Hip Hop, Pop AND Rock, started her radio career while still in junior high. A Seattle native, she began answering phones at KUBE in 1992, and by the time she hit high school, Julie had her own ON AIR shift at the local college radio stations KGRG and KNHC. As soon as she was able to drive herself to the station, she got her own air shift at KUBE as well. Julie’s college years took her to Arizona (ASU) where she continued to foster her radio career and passion for music at KPWR (Hip Hop) and KEDJ (Alternative Rock) in Phoenix, where she held down air shifts and worked in the programming departments. In 1998, she returned to Seattle and landed the midday air shift and the APD/MD job at KUBE. Four years later, Julie made the move to Los Angeles and was named the APD/MD at legendary Top 40 KIIS FM. The success of KIIS during her tenure there, coupled with an unbridled passion for manic genres made her the stand out choice to take over the helm at Clear Channel’s KYSR when the format switched to Alternative Rock in January of 2009. Today, Julie continues to hold both positions in the Clear Channel LA Radio Cluster (APD/MD at KIIS FM and PD at KYSR 98-7fm). In her “spare” time, Julie is a dedicated mentor and community leader. She donates time and resources to A Place Called Home in South Central and to the Youth Mentoring Connection. She is also passionate about discovering new music, mentoring new artists, and being creative with how radio can support the artist development process in the ever-changing music business. Julie’s Awards, Honors and Acknowledgements include:

Intimate Meetings & Pitch Sessions With Music Supervisors from Top Ad Agencies Session #4 with McCann Erickson’s Mike Boris on Thu, Oct 13, 2011 at Shelter Island Sound in New York
What do Jessica Dierauer, Jean Scofield, Paul Greco, Mike Boris, Josh Rabinowitz and Ryan Fitch have in common? They are all special guests at NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions at Shelter Island Sound in New York. Representing the best and brightest in music supervision at the top ad agencies in the world, these five seasoned executives select, commission and place (and in some cases, create) music for global advertising campaigns for the world’s most recognizable brands. In NARIP’s intimate sessions, you get to meet and pitch them for current opportunities. Come meet these career-makers. BACKGROUND NARIP members have made placements through these limited enrollment sessions, including most recently Peter Kimmel who placed a song from his catalog (“Soul of a Man Never Dies”) in an episode of True Blood following our session with Gary Calamar earlier this year in Los Angeles. The episode with his song airs July 31, 2011 and you can read more about it here.

Intimate Meetings & Pitch Sessions With Music Supervisors from Top Ad Agencies Session #3 with J. Walter Thompson’s Paul Greco on Thu, Oct 6, 2011 at Shelter Island Sound in New York
| 2011-09-15 | In NY – NARIP Music Supervisor Session #1: Jessica Dierauer
×
Intimate Meetings & Pitch Sessions With Music Supervisors from Top Ad Agencies Session #1 with Young & Rubicam’s Jessica Dierauer on Thu, Sep 15, 2011 is SOLD OUT !! at Shelter Island Sound in New York (Space for remaining sessions still available)
What do Jessica Dierauer, Jean Scofield, Mike Boris, Josh Rabinowitz and Ryan Fitch have in common? They are all special guests at NARIP Music Supervisor Sessions at Shelter Island Sound in New York. Representing the best and brightest in music supervision at the top ad agencies in the world, these six seasoned executives select, commission and place (and in some cases, create) music for global advertising campaigns for the world’s most recognizable brands. In NARIP’s intimate sessions, you get to meet and pitch them for current opportunities. Come meet these career-makers.
