Engineer, producer and studio owner Michael Mikulka ran a successful recording studio and music complex in Southern California for almost 30 years. The 12,000 square-foot complex included 4 recording studios, a high end mastering suite, rehearsal studios and a full sound and lighting company where he worked with major artists, as well as hundreds of unsigned acts. Eight years ago, Michael re-connected with a lost love, sold his business in California, and moved his base of operation to Texas where he married and opened Lucky Run Studio on a 150-acre ranch on the west end of Houston. In addition to recording and producing, Michael engineered for MCA Music Publishing and has been (and continues to be) a college level instructor of recording in both Los Angeles and Houston. He is a 22-year voting member of NARAS and a recipient of numerous gold and platinum records. Over the years Michael has worked with such artists as Ambrosia, Berlin, Toby Keith, Bill Medley, Willie Nelson, Juice Newton, Leon Russell, Sting, Tiffany and others.
