ABOUT CHRIS MOLLERE
Chris Mollere is music supervisor for the CW television series The Vampire Diaries, the new CW series The Originals, the ABC Family series Pretty Little Liars and the new ABC Family series Chasing Life. He is also working on the feature films Jimi: All Is By My Side directed by John Ridley and starring Andre 3000 portraying Jimi Hendrix in his early years, as well as Bad Words directed by and starring Jason Bateman. He is also music supervising the feature film North Of Hell starring Katherine Heigl and Patrick Wilson. His interest in the world began early. Growing up in a military family, he traveled extensively while living in Europe and around the US. At an early age he developed a love for all styles of music and credits his family’s love of music and his father’s record collection as influences. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, and in addition to his degree in psychology, advertising and business, he participated in countless music events. Living in Austin provided him many opportunities to attend concerts by many seasoned performers and developing artists alike. He worked with bands in management, production and promotional capacities, and these early positions helped him understand many facets of the music industry. He moved to Los Angeles where one of his first jobs was as a Producer / Composer Assistant at Music Forever in Hollywood. Here he liaised with labels, ad agencies, directors and producers. One project was the film Memory, giving Chris his first opportunity to work as a music supervisor. Since then, he has music supervised many projects including the ABC Family Television series Kyle XY Greek and 10 Things I Hate About You, as well as the feature films The Box, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell and The Haunting of Molly Hartley.
Come meet this career-maker.
SMALL IS THE NEW BIG
NARIP’s small sessions (limited enrollment of 16 people per session) guarantee face-time with our guest, registrants get brief of supervisor’s CURRENT music needs, a chance to pitch plus immediate feedback. You get to meet and pitch our guest for current opportunities on the spot, receiving instant feedback as to whether a song or cue is appropriate or not, and most importantly, WHY. This feedback makes better pitches – and ultimately, placements – possible. Participants even have the opportunity to re-work music to better fit a supervisor’s needs.
