At hundreds of NARIP Pitch Sessions, we asked every guest music supervisor how to better market music to them.  Their one most consistent piece of advice?  Get representation! At this special NARIP event, you get to know the synch agents and they to get to know you. Most important, attendees meet these key players, paving the way for possible representation and ongoing opportunities, and giving them an edge in a competitive market. Synch Agent: A synchronization or “synch” agent represents music copyrights – either the composition, the sound recordings, or both.  They pitch music to buyers and their representatives, including to music supervisors.  Synch agents are typically compensated on a commission basis and do not own or control the copyrights they represent.  While synch agents usually focus on entertainment and media exploitations, traditional songplugger services also include placement of represented songs with recording artists.
What is a Synch Agent (and WHY you need one)?  View video (:60 seconds) Get in front of these two top Atlanta synch agents whose placements can move the needle on musical talent - it's commonly acknowledged that a well-placed synch can be more valuable than an album track.  Some even call synch the "new radio."  These agents search relentlessly for new music to sign, represent and pitch. Learn what they seek and how to get it to them. BONUS #1:  Music Placements Do's & Don'ts checklists will be provided.
NARIP programs make a deep dive into important trends and help put NARIP members in front of music buyers, executives and taste makers who can make a meaningful difference in a music career.  NARIP programs also enable audience questions and direct feedback, making them even more valuable.  Most important, attendees meet key players, paving the way for deals, representation, collaboration and ongoing opportunities, and giving them an edge in a competitive music market. Be prepared to take plenty of notes!
